About Contact Lenses
From LoveToKnow Sunglasses
Wondering about contact lenses? You can wear them whether you need a prescription or not as they can enhance your appearance and/or correct your vision.
Why Think About Contact Lenses
Contact lenses come in handy if glasses make you uncomfortable or if you prefer to sport different sunglasses every day and don't want to pay for the prescriptions to go with them. Even if you don't need vision correction, you may find yourself browsing the contact lens selections at your local optical shop, theater shop, or online for fun contacts like mirrored lenses, cat eye lenses, Riddick contacts, or even just contacts to enhance or change your eye color while still looking natural. Many people love to play around with their eye color or eye appearance for Halloween, special events, or nights spent out on the town, though some do enjoy mixing up their eye color, having blue eyes one month, brown the next, and so on. The truly are endless.
Get the Proper Fit
Always remember to make sure you get the correct fit for contact lenses and if you experience any discomfort or redness, contact your eye doctor. Certain prescriptions (especially those with high astigmatisms) won't be able to wear some lenses. That even goes for non-prescription "fun" lenses that you planned to wear with your glasses just to give yourself an interesting—or at least different—look. Check with your eye care provider to make sure you have a proper fit, especially if you're depending on the prescription for vision correction.
If you're curious about contact lenses, remember that they are a fun and unexpected way to change your appearance. You can change your hair color, your sunglasses, your wardrobe, and your makeup. Why not change your eye color or appearance on a whim, too?
