Free Trial Color Contact Lens
From LoveToKnow Sunglasses
There are a lot of things that could make a pair of colored contacts less than desirable for your eyes, so free trial color contact lenses are imperative to making sure that your money goes toward a pair of lenses that will be comfortable, look natural (or unnatural, depending on the look you're going for), and offer the vision correction you need.
Choosing Your Contact Lenses
There are a few reasons to be picky about your colored contact lenses to make sure that they offer you the fit and vision that you need. An additional concern with colored lenses is how they look over light or dark eyes, especially if you want them to look natural. A lens that sits slightly off-center will not only feel uncomfortable and skew your vision, but it will also reveal part of your iris, and therefore become a dead giveaway that the eye color you're trying to present to the world is not your real eye color. With free trial color contact lenses, you get to find out:
- If the fit is comfortable
- If they lenses are of the appropriate material to stay comfortable on your eye for hours at a time
- How the color looks with your own eye color beneath it—is it believable? Are there any details that make it obvious that you're wearing contacts?
- How the prescription works to correct your eyesight; sometimes after a trial period of about a week, the prescription has to be altered due to the way the lens hugs the eye
In many cases, the best way to find the perfect match in the color you're looking for is to consult with your optometrist. He or she will be able to make recommendations based on the materials they're made from and inspect the fit once they're on your eye and again when they have been on your eye for about a week. If you need vision correction, your eye doctor will determine the strength you need and make any necessary adjustments after you have worn them for a week.
If you have perfect vision or anticipate wearing your colored lenses behind a pair of glasses, it will be slightly easier to find your perfect lenses. They will also be much less expensive than colored lenses for those who have astigmatism.

Once you find the type you like, you're free to order from wherever you'd like with the appropriate prescription.

Dominique, try going to your eye doctor for a fitting and explain what you're looking for. They may have colored lenses in stock for you to try. They'll let you open them there and practice putting them in and taking them out, and you can verify that they aren't ripped before you take them home.
