The Basics of Golf Sunglasses
Contrary to a previous belief, gray lenses are not the best picks for golf sunglasses. Shades of citrus, cinnamon and sometimes muted teal are best, as they create a great contrast when you're out on the green. Even better, they do the best job at keeping your eyes from becoming tired, so you can play--and play well--for hours on end. Make sure your lenses aren't too light, though, or you'll end up getting contrast without any relief from the sun's bright UV rays.
As always, the first and most important thing when choosing your sunglasses, is to make sure they have adequate UV protection. That means your lenses will protect you 100 percent from UVA and UVB rays. Some brands, like Spy sunglasses, even boast UVC protection, but that's not always necessary, since those rays don't make it through the earth's atmosphere.
