Oakley Replacement Lenses
From LoveToKnow Sunglasses
You may need Oakley replacement lenses because you want to try out different lens colors without footing the bill for a whole frame and lens set for every sport you play. Perhaps you broke a lens and you're looking for a way to fix it without parting with your old faithful frames. Whatever your reason, here are some tips for finding the lenses you need.
Why You May Want Them
If you love, love, love your Oakley sunglasses and you use them quite often, you may not be able to imagine your life without them. What if you accidentally drop them and then step on them? You'll be without your sunglasses for as long as it takes for more lenses or a new pair of sunglasses. You may even feel the urge to go and purchase a whole new set—the frames and the lenses—at a higher cost.
By having replacement lenses on hand, you can always be assured that, unless you lose your whole pair of sunglasses, you won't have to go without your favorite eyewear for long. Your fishing trip, for example, won't be ruined because the sun is distracting or making it hard to see what's in the water. You'll simply replace the lens or lenses and go on your way.
If you participate in several different outdoor activity with various light levels, you may want more than one lens color. While amber and gray are extremely popular lens colors, you may need rose lenses, for example, to give your best performance.
With a handful of replacement lenses, you can trade them out when you need them. This kind of practice is only recommended for a couple of Oakley styles: the M-frame and the Half Jacket. Other styles will usually require assistance from an Oakley representative due to the likelihood of the lenses to scratch or break in the process.
The biggest perk to having replacement lenses is the price. It's cheaper to get new lenses than it is to purchase a whole new pair of sunglasses.

Remember
Please keep in mind that you cannot return your lenses if you've mounted them or scratched them. If you don't feel comfortable working with the lenses yourself, take them to an Oakley dealer and have them do it for you.
Also, please remember that you need special lenses for the Asian Fit frames. Don't buy the standard lenses if your frame is a smaller size.
The Oakley return policy has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, but that's not without a few guidelines. Keep in mind these apply when buying directly from Oakley. You should always double-check the return policies from any store where you purchase your lenses. Here are the ground rules:
- The lenses can't have been customized or abused.
- You have 14 days to return your lenses after you get a Return Material Authorization.
- You will need to return the lenses in their original packaging and include anything else that came with them.
A Final Word
If you play many different sports and would be replacing your lenses frequently solely for the sake of changing color, it may not be the most practical reason. If you don't play too many, and those sports are based on the seasons, you may do well with replacement lenses in multiple colors. Of course, it's always good to have an extra pair of lenses for your favorite Oakley sunglasses just in case your first pair becomes damaged.
