The History of Revo Sunglasses
Revo sunglasses have been around since 1985, when founder Mitch Ruda, an optical engineer, decided to adapt technology developed by Nasa, and use it to create sunglasses.
It was a revolutionary idea. The technology in question was the special coating NASA gives the portholes on its satellites to protect them from radiation found in outer space. You may think this is a little over the top for a sunglasses brand, but Revo's many fans would surely disagree: the protection afforded by the glasses, and the excellent quality of vision they provide, cannot be argued with, and are one of the main reasons for the brand's continued popularity.
Revo Style
Although they're undoubtedly one of the most practical sunglasses brands you could choose, that doesn't mean that Revo sunglasses are lacking in style. Quite the opposite, in fact. They're worn by sportsmen and women all over the world, who choose them for the enhanced quality of vision they offer, but they're also worn by ordinary people who simply appreciate a great pair of stylish sunglasses.
The current collection is a case in point. From large, dark, film star-style lenses to tortoiseshell frames and funky blue and yellow lenses, no matter what style of sunglasses you're looking for, there's a good chance you'll find something to suit.
Revo make sunglasses for men and women, and most of the styles are unisex, giving you a much larger choice of frames.
The Revo Website
Revo's state of the art website is a good place to start if you're trying to work out if this brand is the one for you. All of the available styles are showcased at the site, and although you cannot buy online, there's also a store locator to help you find a Revo retailers in your area.

Choosing Your Revo Sunglasses
Revo sunglasses come with such a wide range of frames that it can be difficult to know which to choose. All Revo sunglasses offer 100% UV protection, so you don't need to worry about the safety of the lenses or how well they'll protect your eye. That just leaves you with the question of how the glasses look, and which style will be most flattering. Before buying any sunglasses, it's a good idea to take a look in the mirror and work out what shape of face you have, as this will greatly effect the style of sunglasses you should wear.
People with a round face, for example, need glasses which help to elongate the face, and should look out for square or angular styles which will minimise the roundness of the face. Those with square-shaped faces, on the other hand, will look best in more curvy styles.
If you have an oblong face, you'll be at your best in small frames glasses: big lenses are very popular right now, but will do you no favours, so look out for styles which don't protrude outside the natural line of your face. Those with triangular faces, where the forehead is wider than the jaw, look great in stylish "cats-eye" frames, while people with oval shaped faces are the luckiest of all, as they'll look good in just about anything!

Comments
Richard, it may be possible, but you would have to contact Revo to make sure. Certain coatings, tints, etc, can be stripped off and reapplied; others cannot be.
-- Contributed by: CrystalSchwankeI purchased a pair of Revo sunglasses, and the coating on the lenses has developed some streaks. Is there a way to "re-coat" or replenish the lens?
