Natasha, sometimes a fresh, unbiased opinion is exactly what you need to find the perfect pair for your face.

thanks for the post! I've been having so much trouble finding sunglasses that fit my face. I never thought of going to a sunglass shop and asking someone there to help me find the right pair.

Beatrice, the UV protection is generally listed on the tag or on a sticker on the lenses. It will say UV 400 or a percentage followed by "UVA/UVB protection". Visit our UV Index article for more information. As for the prices, sometimes you're merely paying for the name. Designer sunglasses tend to cost more even though they can offer the same protection a $15.00 pair of sunglasses does. NewsNet5 offers some insight on that and suggests having all sunglasses tested at an eyeglass store.

What about uv protection? How do I know which pair offers the best UV protection? And why do some cost $15, and other $150? Why the differnce in the price?
